Active snail repress E-cadherin via binding to its recognition sequence in E-cad promoter (Nat Cell Biol, 6:931, 2004). O-Glcacylated snail.

GSK3beta is also involved in snail phosphorilation (by Park). Snail by Trcp
snail modification by OGT can promote repression of E-cadherin, and increase EMT.

Phosphorylation (EMT repression) and glycosylation (EMT promotion) has differential roles in snail stability, i.e. EMT.
